Art of Problem Solving K-12 Teaching
TAing and grading for Art of Problem Solving from 2012-2021 has given me a strong appreciation for how mathematical ideas connect across topics and levels. One lesson in the Prealgebra 2 class, for example, always leads to some students asking questions that come very close to ideas like inf/sup vs. min/max, the density of the rationals in the reals, and limits. I blogged about those relationships here. Another class, aimed at middle school math contest students, gets at ideas about infinity and measure through geometry and probability. I blogged about that here.
